The Candy Crush Saga free switch Hand Booster can be bought and used at any time during the game.
You buy them with gold bars which in turn have to be bought with real money, either paypal, credit card or prepay cards, or you may win one on the daily booster wheel.
It allows you to switch 2 candies that don't match.
It is very useful for getting 2 special candies together to make a powerful combo! Also very useful on ingredients levels where you may need to move an ingredient accross to get it down the exit column.
Here is a demo video which shows how it works.
I used it in the last 2 moves in this video to complete the level..
If you use Google Chrome as a browser to play Candy Crush Saga you have probably experienced a shockwave crash at some stage whilst playing the game.
This is because Chrome has it's own flashplayer and your operating system also has a flashplayer.
Very often there will be conflict between these two plugins and this will cause one of them to crash!
To prevent this happening again you can disable one of the plugins so that there can be no conflict between the two.
Here's how.... First, in the address bar at the top of the browser write the words as shown in the image below.
Then click return. You will see something like the image below. If it doesn't look like that look top right of the screen and click on details.
The first 2 plugins will be your OS flashplayer and Chrome flashplayer. You may see them both enabled, or you may see them as here, one enabled and one disabled. If they are both enabled choose one and disable it. Doesn't really matter which one. Then close the browser. Re open and try the game again... If it works you've done it! If it still doesn't work properly repeat the above steps and change the flashplayers. ie: Disable the one you are using and enable the other and try again after closing the browser and re opening.
This video is simple to follow even if you don't know much about computers
If disabling the first one doesn't work go back and enable it and disable the other one..
By Ellen Brazier I was trying to keep from uncovering the bombs until the end, so I wasn't getting the specials and combos I needed to get the bottom cleared without running out of moves. Once i changed that and took my chances with keeping the bombs from exploding, I started getting to the end with only one or two jellies left consistently. and then ... BOOM gottem all!!! .. not very scientific by Joel Gnanasigamony
Work on taking out the middle first, if you try and take out a few sides too early, it may activate the bombs on the sides, and getting to it will be difficult.
I used a strpiped+wrapped combo to get the middle
(was lucky to get a good start), then i worked on the top, and finally, the sides, making it easier and getting more space to remove bombs.
Tips from Fibro Froggy
this is how I beat that level. Level 350 I started as close to the bottom as a I could & worked my way down, even though it opened up the bombs earlier, if I could not detonate, all I lost was a life, not a whole lot of time wasted. When I did control the bombs, headed straight for those pesky sides. Vertical & Horizontal striped a must here. Straight up the middle & the rest of the sides. Any combo is good, I like the wrapped/wrapped & the wrapped/stripe for getting rid of big chunks of jelly. Hope that helps.
Tips from Allina Rumfelt Not sure if 2 months stuck on 350 qualifies me as an expert: probably not, but I did learn a thing or two on that level. Firstly, do not try and avoid setting off the bombs. I missed way too many combos and special candies necessary to clear the board. Start as close to the bottom as you can because the cascades will knock out most of the jelly up top. Those bottom corner stripes are a good back up to knocking out those first bombs that always get stuck in the dispenser. Once you open up the area around the dispensers the bombs get easier to get. Its the first ones that seem to get stuck. Hope this helps.
I was hesitant about using this video as it seemed so lucky, but having tried many times I found that the longer the game goes on the more difficult it becomes, you need to complete early if at all possible.
If you play on mobile the best advice is to look at the board before you make a move and if there is no move to make a colour bomb within the first couple of moves exit the board and try again until you get a good board.
Unfortunately this doesn't work for PC and laptop players so we have to go with what we're given.
These two videos were made before the level changed so are not correct.. New videos will be posted as soon as they are available..
This second video shows how easy it can be if everything works just right!

Tips for level 347 This level has changed from August 2013.. You now need to make 10 wraps and 2 colour bombs. No need to switch them, just explode them. Concentrate on ONLY what you need on this level... You need wraps and colour bombs so try NOT to make stripes as they are likely to blow up any candies you are setting up for wraps and colour bombs.
Take any chance to make the specials that you need and once you have one colour bomb use it to remove one colour from the board so making another colour bomb or the wraps will be easier. Switching a wrap and colour bomb together is even better as it removes 2 colours so making your remaining specials a bit easier..
see if this helps. Level 338, Clear all the Jelly, you have 50 moves, bomb dispensers half way down on each side, so don't stress about them yet. Check the top play board for any combo's & try to break into the jelly ASAP, Cookie had a good top deck, so she played alot from up there, if you have a good one do the same. But most likely you will be working your way into the jelly, Striped/wrapped great for taking out huge chunks of jelly, but any combo's you can make will be great. When you get to the bombs, think you have 14 moves to kill them, try & combine them in any combo you can they are worth 3,000 pts each, for the corners, horizontal or vertical stripes should clear that. .
If you have trouble making colour bombs for some Candy Crush Saga levels, here is a pictorial guide to making them. This is level 153 which requires you to switch 2 colour bombs together..
In the picture above you can see that if you move the green candy down one place by switching it with the red one you will have two pairs of greens with one green above the gap.
Then switch the green into the gap and you have your first colour bomb!
Picture below.
The picture below is the same game after a few more moves..
It is very tempting to move the red candy across to make a stripe, but we don't really want stripes in this level, we need colour bombs so ignore that and look at the orange candies..
There are 2 pairs again with a gap, so we need to get another orange candy down next to the gap.
So we switch the red vertically which will bring the orange down to cover the gap.
If this was a level which needed to clear jelly we could make the red stripe as well as the colour bomb, but in this level that could be dangerous and blow up our carefully made colour bombs! Now just switch the orange across to make your second colour bomb! This time we are very lucky and can now make a third colour bomb in just one move! Look carefully and you'll see how! A couple more moves bottom right will bring the third Colour bomb down level with the second one and you can switch them together to complete this level..
